Thanks for visiting my blog!

About me…my name is Cherise.  I am an on location, lifestyle photographer located in Cambridge, MN.  I absolutely adore my family, I have a wonderful husband, an adorable (but energetic) 3 yr old son who keeps me on my toes, and my 19 yr old son who is ready to start his journey in life.  Besides my obvious passion for photography, I also love horses, barrel racing, spending time with my girlfriends, and of most of all my family.

My photography style is very photojournalistic, non-traditional and full of natural expressions.  I LOVE natural light and am constantly searching for the perfect, beautifully lit location to photograph my clients.  As a lifestyle photographer,  I find pure bliss in documenting your family from the eye of an observer, someone peeking into your dailly life.  My goal is to capture your life, your family, as it is right now.  That is what lifestyle photography is all about…real, everyday life.

Minneapolis MN family photographer | Cherise Gow | {1 yr session}

So one more catch up here!!!  This was little {L’s} 1 yr session.  We decided to do the 1 yr session at the Walker Art Center as it was extremely cold on our session date!!!  {L} is now a very busy mover, so  you must be quick to get a shot of her!!!  We moved around alot :)  Still managed to get some great shots of her and some wonderful family shots!!!   Thanks so much Daher family!!!

2011, Another wonderful year with all my clients!!!  Thank you all for your support and patience throughout the year!  You continue to make my business worth every minute!!! 

Some news from 2011…..

I was able to focus more on seniors, newborns, and family in 2011 and limited my wedding photography to 4 weddings.  Although it was a great year with all my smaller sessions, I have discovered I have falled pretty short hourly after time and cost then what I expected to be.  Unfortunately this will bring some changes for 2012

{Dobb’s}  So had a wonderful session with the Dobb’s family.  This is actually a friend of my older son’s and her brother, sister, and father!!!  This was a father’s day gift she had given to him but couldn’t do session until later.  We had alot of fun goofing off and got some great family shot they will remember forever!!!  Thanks Sam for your understanding and patience to see your blog post!!!!

November Sessions

So my last two months have been crazy busy trying to get caught up so I am posting my November sessions first!!!

{Lindberg’s)  We had a great session again, this time we met up at Nate’s parents for some outdoor shots of the family!!!  Everyone was in a pretty good mood, I was worried about getting a great picture of the family but luckily all the kids were awesome and no meltdowns!!!  Thanks so much you guys, it was a blast!!!

 {Schlundt’s}  Met up with Tia and her family for their family session and Brody’s 1yr!!!  It was a bit chilly out when we got around to going outside, we didn’t stay out there long   We got some great shots of the little guy and some really nice family shots!  They make a perfect beautiful little family!!!!   Thank you…

{Lundberg’s}   This was a get together for the Lundberg family to capture a family photo!!!  I think we did just that, great group of people, I had a lot of fun with this!!!  Thank you everyone for your cooperation and patience during the session!!!

{Schwartz’s}  We did a holiday mini-session for the Schwartz family!!!  This family is closer to my heart as I worked for mom’s company for 8 years and got to see the kids grow up!!!  It was great seeing you all again!!!

My annual session with the Rootkie family was perfect!!!  The weather was pretty good and we managed to get a good variety of shots!!!  The kids also keep getting easier and easier every year to capture!!!  It was a fun session, thank  you for your patience on the sneak peek!  Enjoy…………

Andover MN senior photographer | Cherise Gow | {Hannah}

Another fun senior session!!! I met Hannah and her mom at their home in Andover where we did most of the session!  Hannah loves her horses and is a very focused young lady about her passion, she is very involved in 4H and WSCA.  We got some great shots of them together!!!  We also managed to get a few shots in downtown Anoka for a little more of an urban feel even though she is 100% a country girl!!!  Thank you Hannah and Sandi for a wonderful session.  Hope you love your sneak peek!

Grasston MN family photographer | Cherise Gow | {Lidke family}

So thank you to all of  you who have been patiently waiting for your {sneak peek}.  I have been a bit backed up and am just slowly catching up on things. 

I met up with the Lidke family in Grasston.  Another extremely windy day but we did manage to get out of the wind and into the woods.  We explored some of dads hunting grounds, what a beautiful location.  Still a few leaves on the trees so we were lucky, winter is coming fast!!!!  Brrrr….  big brother {G} had fun exploring the most especially with his trusty friend by his side {his dog}…. we did capture some great photo’s of the two of them together but I had such a hard time choosing which photo’s to include in the sneak peek I figured I would let those be a surprise    Hope  you enjoy your sneak peek, I will email you when your gallery is ready

Cambridge MN Children’s photographer | Cherise Gow | {Personal}

So yesterday my little guy went to pre-school, of course I had to bring my camera and get a shot of him.  Dad never get’s to be a part of the pre-school thing so I took this shot for him and added a little of my own magic so we could send to him.  Hopefully it brightens his day at work

After pre-school we then met up with my goddaughter and went for a walk at the Becklin county park, a beautiful spot for photo’s I might add, guess where I will be goin for some of my next sessions   Anyways, she needed some pre-school photo’s!!!

And friends, well I think they are more like brother and sister

Another fun session with the Piescher family!!!  Little {C} and big brother {Z} keep growing and getting more handsome since last year!  Just love {C}s red locks.  Something about red hair on kids is just sooooooo precious!!!!  We got some beautiful backlighting for most of our shots, yummy light as us photographers say..  Thanks for a wonderful session and it was great seeing you all again!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
